The buildings were already shut — the ratings follow the students (Current Sep 21).

Austin Current reports the Texas Education Agency assigned the failing rating histories of six closed Austin ISD campuses to the schools that absorbed most of their students.
Current says nine schools now carry four or more unacceptable ratings. That count is separate from Burnet Middle and Webb Middle.
The six receiving schools Current names are Guerrero Thompson Elementary, Galindo Elementary, Kealing Middle School, Blackshear Elementary, Rodriguez Elementary, and Bailey Middle School. Current reports Bailey earned a B and still inherits four consecutive F ratings from closed Paredes Middle School.
The other three in Current’s nine, with four failing ratings from their own histories, are Dobie Middle School, Pecan Springs Elementary, and Linder Elementary.
