CapMetro bus fares go up Jan 10 — $1.25 climbs to $1.50, then $2 by 2029

CapMetro’s fare page says the board approved higher fares on Sep. 28. A local single ride is $1.25 now, $1.50 on Jan. 10, 2027, and $2.00 in January 2029. The page says this is the first system-wide fare increase since 2015.

The same page says the Equifare program is being eliminated. Riders enrolled in Equifare move into the Reduced Fare program. Equifare ends with the raise.
