The Public Safety Committee, a Council committee, met Monday for a briefing. The agenda item was the emergency response to the April 2025 house explosion in the Great Hills neighborhood. The committee backup calls it a propane explosion. KXAN locates it on Double Spur Loop.
The committee’s backup counts six adult injuries and 24 homes that reported damage. KXAN reports the review found communication gaps between agencies, and that first responders still handled the immediate danger.
