No jet skis on Lake Austin this Labor Day

Personal watercraft are already banned from sunset Friday, Sept. 4, to sunrise Tuesday, Sept. 8. That’s existing city code, not a new bill. Memorial Day uses the same window. The Fourth does not — sunset July 3 to sunrise July 5.

Lake Austin’s personal-watercraft ban on holiday weekends is already on the books — §8-5-81. This year’s Labor Day window is sunset Friday through sunrise Tuesday. APD posts the holiday notice. There is no new jet-ski bill on a 2026 agenda.
