License-plate cameras for parking tickets are on today’s Mobility Committee agenda
It’s a briefing, not a purchase. Staff says a person reviews the shot before any citation.
September 2, 2026
Transportation and Public Works is briefing the Mobility Committee Thursday, Sept. 3. The slide under recommended curb strategies: use license-plate readers to find parking violations, with mandatory human review before a ticket, aligned with the city’s TRUST resolution. The goal on that slide is more enforcement without a matching jump in staff.
The Curb Management Plan “is NOT a regulatory document.” The action is receive the briefing. There is no ALPR item on the Sept. 10 Council draft.
This is not the old APD camera program that ended. File 26-2268. Item MOBC003.
