Travis County Commissioners Court’s voting session was yesterday, 9 a.m. at 700 Lavaca. The posted agenda included a public hearing on the tax rate and a rate-set vote.
The posted notice proposes $0.386210 per $100 of taxable value. That equals the voter-approval rate, so no election is required. The notice puts the tax on the average homestead at $1,942.59, up $6.19. County Judge Andy Brown and Commissioners Jeffrey W. Travillion Sr., Brigid Shea, Ann Howard, and George Morales III were all FOR on that notice.
