Voter registration closed Monday — early voting starts Oct 19

Voter registration for the Nov. 3 election closed Monday, Oct. 5. The Travis County Tax Office said a mailed registration application had to be postmarked no later than Oct. 5. The county clerk’s page lists Monday, Oct. 5 as the last day to register.

The county clerk’s election page says the last day to apply for a ballot by mail is Friday, Oct. 23. The page says apply. It does not say the application has to be received by that day.

Early voting starts Monday, Oct. 19, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
